Zilker Park Today

Sorry... Not for Christmas!

Feeding the BIrds

Happy Eat Day!

Oh boy was it eat day today or what?

I have pictures from the park the other day to get on here and pictures of what I cooked today. But I'm TIRED!

It's been a busy week - 4 photo shoots! So this is a great start to my photography here and I hope it grows and grows. Lots of editing to do - and also started a photography blog. You can see that at mariahmilan.wordpress.com - make sure to subscribe to it to see all the new stuff that goes on there!

Ok... so today... it was great. Peter didn't work until 6pm so I made all the yummies: Prime Rib, Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Rolls, the yummy cranberries that keep the shape of the can... Oh man I could barely walk up the stairs to go to bed! LOL

And we put up the Christmas Tree! We haven't decorated it yet, but it's up and it's gorgeous. It's a faker... but a mighty real looking fake tree!

Nighty night...

Everyone needs a rainbow

I think it was last week that I turned in my Hawaii drivers license (sad!) and took my photo for my Texas one. It arrived in the mail and it's such a trip to see my face on a different state's ID! The saddest part is, there's no rainbow - don't you think every state should have a rainbow?

Sweet Berry Farms Pumpkin Patch

After the park, we drove up to the Sweet Berry Farms for their last day as a pumpkin patch. The girls were mildly interested in the pumpkins. They were really into the goats! We played with and fed the goats, had homemade ice cream and popsicles... it was such a lovely day!!

A beautiful Texas day!

The girls sure loved these goats! They were so friendly.

Fun at the Park in Marble Falls

We met up with Nikki, Makena, and Kaeli on Sunday for some fun with the girls. Poor Kai was totally outnumbered but he didn't mind!

I was such a dorkface and missed the turn to Horseshoe Bay and drove all the way out to Llano! Oh well... it happens, right?

Makena and Ryenne - two lil monkeys climbing on the bars

Ryenne loves the swings!!

WooHoo! Ryenne pushing Makena on the swings.

STUCK!!

Kai loves Auntie Nikki!

Check Up

These are the pictures from our 6 week check up! We were so happy to have our check up with Jenny - who was our midwife at the birth.

Two Monkeys on the Kitchen Counter

Hahahaha the title says it all!

Yum yum!

Pops is a pretty good pacifier! Look at how delicious Kai thinks his hand is. Too cute...

Hiding

Ry found a good hiding spot in between the front chest of drawers and the front window! Love the window light coming in!!

WooHoo! I'm working out!!!

I had my six week check up and got the big OK for rigorous activities *wink* so I can exercise now!

Around Christmas time last year Peter and I were discussing the hopes to have a second baby. So we decided that I would lose some weight to aid in getting pregnant and I ordered a Pilates machine. So the machine arrived just before our trip to Oregon and Disneyland and when we got home we discovered that we had a Christmas gift that showed up late (I was pregnant!). So the Pilates machine was put away...

Day before yesterday I had Peter pull it out of the closet and I'm on day three of using it. It's FABULOUS! Low impact and works muscles that I didn't even know exist.

Feeling really good and hoping that this combined with my afternoon walk with the kids and cutting out majority of my sugar will really help me out. I have so much baby jiggle to lose around my tummy. I heard that's really hard stuff to lose. And it's so weird cause since my C-Section with Ry I have ZERO feeling on that skin. The nerves are just shot.

So maybe if I do drop poundage and just can't lose that piece of flab I'll get a tummy tuck or something. LOL

So all you readers out there (I know there's more than one of you!), please help keep me motivated! My goal is to move from a size 18/20 to a size 14 in the next 6 months. I think that's pretty reasonable, don't you?

Dancing Princess

The Dagupion's Go the Four Seasons

Peter made his three months at the Four Seasons Austin so we got to go stay a night for his Familiarization Stay. I was so excited!!! Anyway, Kai was fussy the whole day and when we checked in he was bawling. I put him on the bed to take a picture. I should have known the rest of the stay would continue this way!

They did have a really cool stainless steel crib in the room. Ryenne thought it was pretty neat. They also gave her a Longhorn with the FS logo branded on it's thigh. She thinks that's the coolest thing! This is while we were trying to get ready for dinner and she just wanted to wear her tights. LOL

After countless efforts to get her to smile, I finally got one!!! We were all dressed up to the nines but running late for dinner so we figured we'd get a family picture after dinner. NOT! Dinner was, well, an experience. The kids were nutso so Peter and I each took turns with Kai and ate separately. The food was divine but it would have been so nice to have eaten together. Ryenne got avocado on her dress and we were both exhausted by the time dinner was over so we got no family pictures and didn't walk the grounds or anything.

Kai slept in his crib but I think he was cold and kept waking up every 2 hours. Ryenne slept in the big bed with us but I got the feet end so between Kai and Ryenne I slept two hours the whole night. I could barely walk when we woke up early to check out and take Ry for her doctors appointment.

The cool thing though was when we checked out there was a hot car outside! It's the Audi like the one in Ironman.

Getting big!

Mommy Likes Shoes!

I was wearing my fun, funky argyle socks cause it was kinda cold the other day and Ryenne wanted to go in the backyard really bad. So the closest shoes I had were my cool orange heels so I put 'em on really quick and then thought I'd take a funky picture! haha

Peter's Birthday

Peter and the two kids being sleepy on the couch

Mmmmm... Ryenne loves cake and daddy looks tired!

Pops and Kai

I'm just a little late posting Peter's birthday pictures! Sorry! Peter turned 33 on November 1st. He had one of his favorite cakes - Tres Leches and Ryenne got to eat all the cherries. He got a new flashlight which he's enjoying quite a bit!

Hmmmm....

Well I don't know what's wrong with me... I should be sleeping cause both kids are sleeping and it's 11:30pm, but for some reason I just CAN'T!!! And it's driving me berserk. I have this feeling that once I shut my eyes and fall into a nice sleep, Kai will wake up and I'll just have to get up. Maybe just too much on my mind...

I started my Google AdWords again for my photography. I'm hoping to get a couple portrait sessions a week while Ryenne is as school and just bring along Kai. He's such a good boy so I think that would work out.

Also have plans to paint the kids' room and move them in there. Okay... thinking too much. Better try to get some sleep!

A Witness to History

Tonight we've all witnessed a piece of American History - our first African-American President. How amazing to have seen it unfold on TV before my eyes. How amazing that this country has finally realized that change needs to happen. How amazing that tomorrow will begin an entirely new chapter... that children will read about this in history books for years to come and I witnessed it during my lifetime.

Congratulations to the entire Obama family!!!

Big man Kai

Mr. Kai-boy turned one month old on Peter's birthday - November 1st (those pics are still on the little camera and I'll get them up soon!). We took him for his check up today and little man is getting BIG! He is 10lbs, 12oz!! Strong and healthy little boy...

I have a yucky cold right now and am in the process of losing my voice. Ryenne and Kai have stuffy and runny noses (keeps switching off).

Lots of things going on here...

Ryenne is doing well sleeping in her own bed (at the foot of our bed) once she's asleep. The getting to sleep part is still a crazy battle. She's definitely two and wants to do everything the exact opposite of what we ask. She has snuggly, sweet moments and then in an instant can be a toddler throwing a massive tantrum. The hardest part for me is being strong and not letting her get to me. Total switch for my personality but I'm getting through it!

I met my new doctor here in Austin and I think he's pretty good. I tested positive for TB back in Hawaii but my chest X-Ray was clear. So I'll need to start a 9 month course of medication to make sure that the TB never turns active. Doesn't that just totally SUCK??? Ryenne is being tested next week.

Kai loves his daddy!

I just love lil baby butts... they're so cute.

The worried look on Peter's face is because he doesn't want to be pooped or peed on! LOL
I told him we could bring out the hose if anything happened. hahaha

Super Girl & Super Man!

Hahaha.... look at Kai's face! Isn't that priceless? Here's the Super duo!!

Just a little side note... I have no idea why these are posting in reverse order...

Carving her first pumpkin!

Ryenne and I carved her first pumpkin!!

It was pretty hilarious cause I had this pumpkin carving kit and I stuck the little saw in and the thing broke on the first stroke! So the picture with the pouty face is when the saw broke. Luckily I had some steak knives! Had to get a little creative! We did a happy face pumpkin because she's been pretty scared of everything Halloween-ish...

More from Austin the other day...

We stopped in for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack (it was crappy) and took a family picture on the lake

Our pretty new city!!

A flock of geese was hanging out in the parking lot and chased us into the car! They were CRAZY!
