If P-2 is a girl...

If P-2 is a girl, I don't know whether I like Marisol Sophia/Sofia or Marisol Milan better. What's your opinion? Shoot me an email at dagupionohana@gmail.com

Ry's First Haircut!

Ryenne has a beautiful head of hair... problem is, she won't let me brush it or get it out of her face! It's a constant struggle and she always gets food in it. So... I've been toying with the idea of cutting her bangs for a while now. I decided today was the day! She let me put water on her hair and I thwacked it off.

It's been so nice to see her face all day! I'll admit it's slightly crooked - but it was my first time!

We went outside for some special pictures of my big girl since it's a little overcast. The boots and dress are from Uncle Martin and Auntie Debbie back on Maui (thank you!!!). Doesn't she look adorable and so grown?

My Body

My friend Lacey, who now lives in WISCONSIN, posted this picture to her myspace page. Gosh 1997 seems like AGES ago.

Over the years, I didn't know what was going on with my body and why I was ballooning to now 80 pounds heavier than I was in high school. Toward the end of last year, I had done tons of research and had a plan for 2008 to end my battles with my hormones and get back into control.

After planning on combatting my hormones and losing weight, I found that BOOM! I was pregnant way before I had planned, which leads me to believe I was doing good to my body and my hormones.

So now that my pregnancy is almost done (hopefully SOON!), I'll be able to nurse by body back into it's healthy state. And I'm so excited! I'm looking forward to cooler weather in the Fall and Winter and getting my butt outside with the kids for walking. I'm looking forward to feeling more energized and getting myself healthier. As silly as it is, I'm excited to fit into cute clothes and wear pretty bras instead of the granny kind that I have to wear now. LOL.

My Weird Cravings

Today I had the weirdest cravings...

Lunch was a slice of cheese pizza (cold), a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, and a spam musubi. I was stuffed. Then dinner HAD to be a white nectarine and a yellow nectarine. Gosh I'm weird!!!

Cowgirl Ryenne

We had a little fun with Peter's straw "lawn mowing" hat the other day. Ry loves to put that hat on!! Too darn cute.

Horseshoe Bay Resort

Peter was off yesterday - Saturday - so we made a fun family day and drove out West about an hour to Horseshoe Bay where our friends the Moulinet's live. We got to meet Kaeli, their five year old, and Marc, Nikki's husband.

It was such a beautiful day!!! We took the girls to the lake. They have a really neat "beach" set up for the kids. Kinda as close to Hawaii as you can get in central Texas!

I should have taken more pictures, but we were all having too much fun! Here's pictures of Ry and Kaeli and Makena all being monkeys in the water =)

A Great Birthday

Well today I am 28 years old!! Me and Ry slept in and woke up together. Peter came upstairs and we tickled Ry for a bit and he pulled out a cute card. It was so nice.

Then we went downstairs and he had a bouquet of roses waiting for me on the table (my favorite color roses!) with another card with a really sweet note inside. I'll admit I cried because it was so sweet (love you babe!).

So we heard that there's a Filipino store about 15 minutes from our house so we set off to go find it. It's a small store and they make daily specials. I had some halo-halo and lumpia and Ry and Peter shared a plate with soup, pancit, and rice. They were very happy campers!!

Peter had to head to work shortly after we got home from our outing. Ry and I played and then she (finally) went down for a nap and I crashed with her. It was a good nap - that kind where you get all drooly. hahaha

We woke up at 7pm and decided to go to Wal-Mart because I still need a few things for my bag to take when I go into labor and a few things to get her for pre-school next week. We spent a good half an hour in the shoe aisle trying to find shoes for her. She's a size 7 and literally everything was either a 6 or an 8. I was getting so frustrated. Then.... from down the aisle I spotted them - the perfect pair of Ry shoes. I was hoping they were a 7 and sure thing they were!!! She loves them and wore them throughout the entire store. Too cute.

So after Wal-Mart I had a mean hankering for egg rolls and orange chicken from Panda Express. They close at 10pm and we drove by right at that time. We went in the store and they were just tossing all the food. They had just tossed the orange chicken - DARN IT! - but they hadn't yet tossed the egg rolls. So they gave me 4 egg rolls and 10 crab rangoons and told me to just take them and have a great night! YAY! Free food! That made it even tastier =)

It was a great birthday.

Ry

Birthday Lunch with Nikki

Nikki and Makena took me out for a birthday lunch today. It was so much fun! We got to drive to a place that I had never been before... Bee Cave is about a half hour drive West and it was really pretty. We went to Mimi's Cafe which I hadn't been to before either. The girls were so good! Then we had gelato and the lil ones ran around in the water fountains. Ryenne being the nudist she is took off her shirt and then her shorts and diaper came off shortly thereafter. Too funny.

Thanks Nikki and Makena for such a wonderful day!!!

Losing Her Balance Video

Ry's gonna go to pre-school!

I'm so excited for her.... pre-school is going to give her so much that I just am too tired for! She'll be doing dress up, arts & crafts, playground time, not to mention having social time with other kids.

We went on the tour this morning and it looks like a great place to get little minds going. I think I'll have a harder time on the first day than her. She starts on September 4th! I'll take pictures on her first day of school.

P-2 Update

We had a prenatal appointment today for P-2. It was nice to have Peter there this time!

Things are looking good! I'm measuring a little big (38 weeks). I'm technically 35 weeks, 2 days. Down 1 pound since last week so that makes a grand total of 2 pounds gained. Cervix is soft and dilated to 1cm and P-2 is still high. So just a few more weeks (hopefully less!).

Our First Dinner

ON OUR DINING ROOM TABLE!!!!

Our dining room table has been in storage since 2005 and since all the furniture was delivered on Monday, it was so awesome to set it up!

Minor set back was the movers lost the bolts for the legs - no biggie. There's a neighborhood hardware store down the street so I took in a leg and they helped me find the right bolts. Wham Bam I set it up! WooHoo!

Peter waiting for dinner....

Mmmmm... cheeseburgers! Ok so I know cheeseburgers and tater tots aren't the most healthy thing, but my whole grain bread and salad has to count for something! hahaha

Goin' Bananas!

There's this really cool place just down the street called Goin' Bananas and it's a warehouse with tons of jumping castles, slides, play things, and even kitchens and stuff.

Nikki and Makena came over this morning and we took the girls. Makena had been there before and was off like lightning to play. Ryenne took a while longer to warm up. Moms and Dads can go in to help the kids, but I figured I'd better not be jumping around in there... Ry had a hard time letting go of mommy, but she did go in with Nikki and then she was hooked! The two girls had such an awesome time! We were there for over three hours I think. It was such an awesome place to go and play (and air conditioned!). The girls chased each other, bounced together, went down slides together, and it was really awesome to see Ry have a friend about the same age. Me and Nikki had fun chasing the kids and talking story. Can't wait to do it again!

Almost 35 Weeks

Ok here I am at almost 35 weeks. I'll be 35 weeks on Friday. P-2 is getting HUGE and putting on weight I think. I'm still doing good with mine - up only 3 pounds since pre-pregnancy weight (yes!). Starting to get really uncomfortable and tired a lot so hopefully P-2 will come a little early for us!

We have FRIENDS!!!

The other day we saw this mural and had to get a shot of Ry in front of it!

My friend Marisa told me that her friend Nikki lives close to Austin and we got in touch and met the other day. We had such a great time! Ryenne and Nikki's daughter Makena had so much fun running around like crazy kids at the mall and me, Nikki, and Peter had fun talking story. We can't wait to get together again soon!

Ok now I feel it!

Aside from the first three months of barfing, this entire pregnancy has been pretty easy-peasy. I feel like I've been superwoman and strong and could do ANYTHING! I had visions of moving to Austin and being able to unpack everything in three days and keep a Martha Stewart pristine household.

Well.... after having tons of energy and doing everything that I have, I'm now pooped!!! My tummy skin is finally stretching and P2 is growing daily. With all this growing, I'm exhausted pretty much 24-7. So I've decided to use my extra energy for playing with Ryenne rather than doing the dishes or cleaning up. LOL. So I have boxes everywhere, cluttered counters, ect and I could really care less.

"They" always say that at this stage nesting begins but I think I used all that energy to move here. LOL. Now maybe I can just sleep away the next few weeks??? That would be nice!!

Prima Ballerina

We went to Carters the other day and Ryenne fell in love with a ballerina dress (so did I!) It was 50% off so I bought it for her and at $11 I think it was a steal! She's been wearing it for 2 days now. I may have to pry it off her to wash it. Anyway, I wanted to get some great pictures of her so I put her on my credenza and asked her to show me how a ballerina dances!

Love this one!!

This is what I get when I ask for a smile!

"Mommy this is how!"

Mayfield Park

I had my first photo shoot in Austin yesterday. It was for a little girl named Lily who is turning one in a week. I took Ryenne along with me and she did a great job at helping the baby smile!

After my clients left, me and Ry hung out at the park for a little while and watched the Peacocks and the beautiful ponds with the koi fish. It was HOT!!! I'd say it was probably over 100. We were both total sweat balls. I brought plenty for Ry to drink though and we had such a nice evening together!

What's the same, what's different...

Me and Ry went to the Carter's store since I had a coupon and picked up some things for P2.

When I went in, the sales lady asked me if I was shopping for pink or for blue? I said "Green, Yellow, and Orange!"

I get asked almost everyday "What are you having?" and then "Oh... you're not finding out!?!?! Don't you have a feeling either way?"

And really the answer is NO. It's kinda wild that I don't really have a feeling either way. I think I haven't really had a chance to kick back and think about it. The move and Ryenne keeps me super busy =)

There are a few things that are different, but mostly this pregnancy is pretty identical to the pregnancy with Ry.

I still crave bubble water, especially if it has citrus added like lemon, lime, or orange. Italian food is high on the list of LOVES. And also the same is my insatiable love of nectarines and peaches!! They are in great supply here so I'm a happy lady. What most don't know is that when I was pregnant with Ryenne I couldn't find peaches and so I ordered a 4 pound box from Harry & David. Spent a fortune and engorged myself on peaches for 5 days straight! LOL

Letsee.... some things that are different.... I feel like I'm overall smaller this time around. Hopefully this means a smaller baby! I don't crave chocolate milk or ice cream as much as I did with Ry. And with Ryenne the site and smell of Mexican food drove me up the wall bonkers insane. But this time I LOVE cheese enchiladas with rice, beans, and avocado, and it must have chopped lettuce on it. Any other Mexican food is still really blah and I want nothing to do with it. Also craving lots of salad - but it must be mixed greens and have different colored tomatoes on it. Strange!!!

So that's things in a nutshell!!
